Your gateway to Africa

Gmela is here for young to middle aged diasporans/black individuals who desire a well-rounded experience in Ghana. They want to enjoy the leisure offerings like parties and concerts while also gaining a deep understanding of Ghana's cultural and historical background through our curated offerings.

They seek to explore Ghana beyond the heavily promoted nightlife, craving a more wholesome, luxurious, and comfortable experience that prioritises their needs as travellers.

By fostering understanding, Gmela brand helps travellers value and respect the diverse aspects of Ghana, offering an enriching journey that goes beyond tourism. Overall, Gmela wants to showcase Ghana as a country that is “well-rounded” in its offerings while putting local business owners and activities at the forefront. We want to aid in changing the narrative that Ghana is only a place you go to for nightlife activities.

The new identity embodies Gmela's commitment of being Your Gateway to Africa.

Gmela logo is a combination of a star, 2 arcs and a circle. These elements represent the star on the Independence square, the arc on the “black star square” and Africa respectively.
